The Knives must flee the scene of a most infernal possession. The flour tortilla stuffed with sauteed meats and vegetables is a dopey lord named Skippy. The rich spicy sauce smothering it is the soul of the Knives greatest nemesis. The Knives need to figure out how to get the whole enchilada back to the Tower.
In Iruvia the artificial sun hangs low but shines bright on a final fete that sees everyone from solar priests to well regarded Pop Rock artists mourning the loss of Lady Candra. A little bit of this and a little bit of that leads to a ghostly tumult, turning the ball room into a Spirit Room. It seems like the knives are everywhere, unlike apt references to Michelle Branch songs, which I hadn’t bothered to google until I wrote this episode description, Are You Happy Now? Is this All You Wanted? Goodbye To You, then.
The Knives find themselves saddled with an artifact pertaining to the immortal emperor himself. After a poetic ride in an electric automobile, the Tower treats the knives to a tea time that may alter the course of history.
After a harrowing escape from Lord Scurlock that nearly eliminated the Bouge. The Squid makes a triumphant return in a heist masterminded by the mysterious Tower, leader of The Unseen. Will the Crew be able to retrieve a curio belonging to the Emperor? And just what interested parties may have something to say about the Knives recent spate of independent contracting?
Welcome to Season 4! War has come to Doskvol. The Immortal Emperor’s iron grip has throttled the life from any notions of neutrality or passivity in the minds of the neighboring sovereignty of Iruvia. After the naked aggression of the airstrike on Elstera Avrathi’s ship, The Iruvian congress declared that peace could no longer protect their country from eternal servitude at the hands of the emperor. Meanwhile, in Dosvol, automatons pound their desks at every street corner, rattling off a litanous condemnation of Iruvian intrigues, mustering a vociferous cohort of pro-war loyalists to serve in the imperial army. The Pyurrfect Ten Leviathan Fleet flees the city as Imperial Loyalty Agents turn over the Pyurrfect Estate, publishing any hint of malfeasance with a sinister ellipsis. The schism in the Van Carston gang leaves leviathan blood refining to the public companies buying massive amounts of industrial real estate with cash from sweetheart imperial war contracts. Kaci Kreborn Haracit and her power-thirsty machinations have led her to a desperate scrabble for clout; a viper who finding its path reversed may easily coil to strike anew. The Ebony Falcon has become a boogie-man, leaving soldiers on both sides of the war quivering in fear to utter its name or to ask, Who is the Unicorn? Welcome to the Imperial City, a thrumming metropolis gripped by a stifling siege blockade. When the Knives arrive to make the best of a bad situation, their opening moves in announcing their debut in the Big City Underworld have them working for a group known as the Unseen, running afoul of the truly terrifying Lord Scurlock.

Back in episode 5 we talked about how there should be a Will Smith style plot recap rap for the show and Kevin can’t not overdo something. Evan Wamous played guitar on this old school Jam that catches you up through episode 15 on all of our most important plot points and some of our more important inside jokes. NOTE FROM KEVIN: It’s important to note that while this is kind of a joke it’s not a parody. I love rap music and I really tried to do a good job. It’s an homage to some of my favorite old school rap lyricists like Kurtis Blow, Run DMC, and Will Smith. I don’t presume to be as good as them but those are the shoulders on which this stands. Also reiterate thanks to our season 1 guests Ryan Branch Karen Twelves Emily Kardamis Adal Rifai Stuart Wellington Amber Falter
